Meant to write this yesterday, but got a bit distracted by things I was going to so you get it now. I decided that I hadn't run in the Viveros in a while and it would be good for me too. Rode the bike share over to the park, and then stretched.
The entire loop is 2.2km. I didn't time myself, although maybe next time I will. But I just decided I was going to start, and not walk at all, till I did two laps.
The first quarter lap was slow, then as my body got a bit more warmed up I picked up the speed. By the time I finished the lap I was warmed up well enough, and picked up the speed a bit more. Halfway through the second lap my lungs started hurting.
Granted I only breathing through my nose when running, but it was a very unique feeling. They where struggling, but I was able to finish out. My lung's I'm sure have their own opinion.
4.4km. I think I'll try to do more of my runs there now instead of on the treadmill, maybe during the week instead though. There is a sort of tranquility to running through the forested area with a nice soft dirt ground. The noise of the sneakers hitting it each time is therapeutic at the very least.
Maybe next time I'll go for 6.6km. Unsure
