Getting the groove again.  I'm kind of surprised, been listening to MTV.  They got some old hits that seem to bring some sort of happiness.  I'm back to the pursuit of it all, happiness.  Fun is up there too, but they seem to go hand and hand.

There is this thing that comes with age that is practically impossible to explain to someone young.  I was trying to think of myself when I was in my 20's.  I heeded some old men's advice, but clearly not enough.

The obscure pains you will feels all over your body for no reason.  Or more so for the reason that you are aware of in your youth.  The random exhaustion that overtakes you at times.  The total natural prioritization of things in your life.  Futile to attempt, move on.  Good chance of success, dig a little deeper.

There is also a sort of joy that comes from finding things you enjoy doing day in and day out.  Maybe a simple run, or some calisthenics; a word I can never spell without spellcheck.  Then of course randomly paying a video game.  Losing yourself in it for no reason other than to just pass the time and try and beat the ladder players.

Then there is the fact that you can get lost in code, all while listening to MTV and then get distracted into writing a blog post about it.  All while smiling.  There was an earthquake recently where I was at.  Scared the crap out of my dog.  I ran like a maniac with him in my arms to the roof.  This building shook less than the last one; then again I'm unsure if the magnitude of this one was higher or lower than the last one.

You'd think earthquakes would be a solved science.  Yet the best we have is an alarm, since sound travels faster than the shock wave.  Them tectonic plates always moving around.  Such a false sense of stability this ground we stand on.  But it's the best we got, so we carry on.  Occasionally the progress of science with a bit of art sprinkled in cause wonders.

It's also kind of amazing once some wounds start to heal that something takes its place.  Although what comes next is up to the future to know.  It will be the present soon enough.
