Was recently reading random articles on the internet, when I stumbled upon an article about thirty terminally ill cancer patients. After reading it it, two phrases that some of the patients said stuck with me.
'If we had the choice, we’d all live a long, happy life. But when would we choose to die? There isn’t a convenient time.'
'My life will be short. So on days I can, I live.'
Makes me think life is short, regardless of how long you live. It seems despite the varying age of the interviewed they all feel the same. Limited. Some of the patients where in their sixties, others in their thirties.
Just makes the relativity of time and life so much more obvious, and seems to make the desire to live hard stronger. Since I can think of no other way to describe pushing life to it's limits.
