There is a song that comes to mind, in fact it's playing in the background; one could say it was the genesis of this post.
It's been so long since I just enjoyed the sound of the soundtrack of life. My playlist. It goes changing throughout the years, not because I do anything, but because phones get stolen, broken, or even tossed.
But in each of them, there is something. My playlist. What is it? It's a series of songs. I go saving them as I hear them or remember. A new phone, a new slate. At times I'll be walking some where, at a bar, or just thinking and one will come to mind.
It gets saved. The Gatsby isn't the name of the song, it's the representation of what the Gatsby represents. But, this isn't that. This is the evolution. The continuation, the next song in the playlist. The what if he realized he was being a fool, but the idea of what he built was pretty legit. The reverse Gatsby if you where to say. It's as if it was a semi charmed kind of life, without the drawbacks.
